Protecting Sea Turtles in Different Countries

Safeguarding Turtles and Eggs from Poachers

Our mission is the direct protection of sea turtles. We send grants to community-based projects and organizations to help pay the salaries of turtle patrollers who safeguard nesting turtles and their eggs from poachers; it is a dangerous job. We value their challenging work and because of their diligence, hundreds of thousands of hatchlings each year emerge from the deep nests in the sand, slowly open their eyes, and reach a wave for their journey in the oceans.

Currently, we assist turtle projects along the Caribbean Coast in Costa Rica and the Pacific Coast in El Salvador and Nicaragua where Leatherbacks, Green Sea Turtles and Hawksbills nest.

We are grateful to all our valued donors who have been helping us save sea turtles for over 20 years.
